Mitsubishi, Honda, Toyota and Nissan – together for Japan

Mitsubishi, Honda, Toyota and Nissan will work together in order to develop public network of electric vehicle charging stations.
Because the number of electric vehicle increases in Japan, four of the largest automakers from Japan will bear some of the costs of building new charging stations in collaboration with the Japanese government.Nissan_Leaf_005
Subsidies received from the Japanese government are worth 1.2 billion dollars for year 2013.
Fast charging stations will be placed in parking spaces on highways, fuel stations and the classic charging stations will pe placed in the parking in city centers and shopping centers.
At the moment in Japan are around 4,800 charging stations, and with this partnership, the number will be increased to 12,000 charging stations.
